In 2019, the “Héroes de Hoy” platform was launched, developed by the advertising agency DDB with the aim of addressing intolerance and discrimination and promoted by large global brands such as LaLiga, Bankia, Iberia, Telepizza, EDP and Clínica Baviera. . The first piece launched by the platform was "Racism is still there" , which told the story of one of the 18 African-American athletes who competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Today, the agency presents "Intolerance is still there" , the new film under the "Heroes of Today" umbrella that continues its commitment to putting an end to intolerance. The piece will premiere on November 16 to celebrate the International Day of Tolerance and focuses on the riots at the Stonewall Inn New York pub in 1969 , when a series of spontaneous and violent demonstrations took place in protest against a police raid. These revolts stood as the first time in the history of the United States in which the LGTBI+ community fought against the system for persecuting people for their sexual identity , and became the catalyst for the modern pro-LGBTI+ rights movement in the USA and the rest of the world.
